Millainen operaatio on vaihtaa xenon polttimo? Meneekö yksiselitteisesti vaihdettavaksi liikkeessä yleisellä tasolla ja toki tarkemmin kiinnostaa WH grandin kohdalta.

Xenon polttimon vaihto
Eihän se xenon polttimon viahto ole sen ihmeellisempää kuin halogeeninkaan, olettaen että kädet mahtuu väliin missä liittimet ja polttimo on.
Tosin WK:n FSM:n mukaan räjähdysherkkää puuhaa, niinkuin tuntuu olevan kaikki mitä USA:ssa tehdään

WARNING: To avoid serious or fatal injury when working on the High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamp system, be certain to take the proper precautions. The headlamp switch must be in the OFF position. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable. There is a risk of fatal injury caused by contact with high voltage used in the HID headlamps. There is a risk of explosion or fire caused by highly flammable materials in the vicinity of damaged HID lighting elements. There is a risk of injury caused by exposure to Ultra Violet (UV) light, a risk of burns caused by high component operating temperatures, a risk of mercury poisoning through glass splinters produced by bursting HID lighting elements. Noh, itsessään proseduurin pitäisi olla ihan simppeli, eli mahdollinen kumi- tai muovisuoja irti, liitin irti, klipsi auki ja polttimo pois, takaisin päinvastaisessa järjestyksessä. Jotkut tykkää ottaa miinusnavan irti akusta xenonien kanssa puuhatessa varmuuden vuoksi.

Henkilöautoista ei kokemusta, mutta raskaassa kalustossa on ohjeistus xenonien vaihdossa, että muutama minuutti virrat pois ja sitten polttimon kimppuun. Syy tähän on jossakin polttimon jännitteessä ja lämmössä. Tuolla odotuksella saadaan vaihto tehtyä "hieman" turvallisemmin... Näin äkkiseltään mutua vain tuli mieleen..
